WHAT is on the program
The theme this year is focusing on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on areas that are most critical for the cement and concrete sectors. Since the adoption of the SDGs in September 2015 by 193 States at the United Nations, a multitude of public and private stakeholders have been harnessing their collective strength to accelerate and scale-up their sustainable agenda through these ambitious 17 Goals and 169 associated targets.
The 11th CSI International Forum will examine and evaluate the new framework set up by the SDGs to tackle the tremendous sustainability challenges that businesses and societies have to face. Through the prism of a risk and opportunity assessment, the Forum will also openly challenge in engaging with the SDGs, and look into areas where the industry could make leading footprints in accelerating this agenda. Together, we will explore opportunities for collective action of CSI members and opportunities of partnership, understand how businesses have been engaging and what more could be done to scale up solutions for a more sustainable world and a sustainable business environment, in India and worldwide.
